Wassim El Malti has been pivotal in the establishment of the new College of Health Sciences at AUM since 2023. He is dedicated to his work in higher education and has contributed to the institutional academic and operational areas. Before this role, he was the Chair of the Chemistry Department in the College of Engineering and Technology at AUM. El Malti started his academic path with a BSc in Biochemistry from the Lebanese University in 2007, an MSc in Chemistry for Life from Paul Sabatier University in 2008, and completed his PhD in Chemistry at Montpellier II University in 2011. Before joining AUM, he worked in the industry as a Research and Development Manager at Morphosis in France, where he focused on recycling precious metals from electronic waste. As an Associate Professor in Chemistry, El Malti’s research interests cover several areas of Chemistry related to environmental and energy applications.
