Dr. Wissam Sammouri is an award-winning data scientist with a PhD in predictive data mining and years of experience in the field helping companies build their digital transformation teams and automate their business processes. His projects have earned several international prizes including the French Tech International prize, Vivatech positive impact award in education, European Youth Award, ExpoDubai2020 grant and many others.

Dr. Sammouri is currently the Campus director and Head of pedagogy of 42Beirut. He is also professor of data analytics at the Lebanese American University LAU, teaching multiple courses at the Graduate, Undergraduate and Executive-MBA levels.

Previous to that, he was the Director of the Master’s of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program at the American University of Beirut, having transformed and scaled up the program more than 7 folds in less than 4 years, and before that Chief Information Officer of a luxury apparel brand in Paris and New York.

He has been actively teaching at universities in Lebanon (AUB, LAU, USJ, ENA) and outside (Paris Descartes, Paris Dauphine, ECE, Paris-Est) for more than 12 years, in which he created and delivered numerous courses and programs, mainly in the fields of Data Science, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Data-Driven Digital Marketing, Data Visualization and Communication, Growth Hacking and E-commerce technologies. He serves on the board of several organizations in Lebanon and abroad.
